About
David Cutaia
I am a student based in Toronto, Canada, with an educational background in film and economics from Queen’s University.
I’m pursuing my Juris Doctor (JD) at Tulane University School of Law with a specialization in Entertainment & Sports Law.
I am focused on the business, legal, and creative aspects of the professional sports and film industries.
Background + Experience:
While working with Queen’s Athletics, I developed and produced commercial advertisements that aired on Canadian television networks, TSN and CBC.
At Queen’s University, I focused my studies on the business of media and narrative storytelling in the sports genre. I was named to the Dean’s Honour List and completed my undergraduate thesis on the history of the Queen’s Gaels football program.
As a student, I have worked with sports agencies GSE Worldwide and Aura Sports Group, assisting their NFL clientele with coordinating video projects. This included producing and developing Laviska Shenault Jr.’s interview series, Athlete’s Aura, featuring guests Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Terrace Marshall Jr. The series is now available to stream on Spotify.
Growing up, I was surrounded by football and filmmaking, now two passions that continue to shape my career aspirations. Whether it was watching NFL Films or ESPN’s 30 for 30 documentaries, I was always inspired by the stories behind sports. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time on the lake with my family and my dog, Lucy.
